The breezy hilltop location of Santa Teresa made it the favorite destination of choice for wealthy settlers in Rio. The neighborhood’s cobbled streets are lined with some of the finest examples of colonial and French architecture of the time, mansions that were once home to the city’s wealthy elite, and today function as artists’ studios, restaurants, and guesthouses. After picking you up at your location will drive for about 20 min until we got to our first attraction: A guided visit through the Morrinho artwork where the founding local artists recount their path at the Favela of Pereirão in the south zone of Rio. Today, Morrinho is a collective and cultural community space that unites creativity, tourism, education, and activism.” At Pereirão Favela arts and entrepreneurship is everywhere: Bars, Restaurants, Bed & Breakfasts, Hostels, and the installation of Project Morrinho.
