Rio de Janeiro SUGAR LOAF COVID POLICES – MANDATORY VACCINATION

According to the Decree No.49.335* of the city of Rio de Janeiro, from 15th September 2021, visitors will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to enter at Bondinho Pão de Açúcar®.

Visitors must present a photo ID and a vaccination passport ensuring COVID-19 vaccination (1st dose, 2nd dose, or single dose) following the vaccination schedule defined by the city of Rio de Janeiro.

These official documents will be accepted as a valid document:

• Digital vaccination certificate, available on the Unique Health System platform (For Brazilians) – CONECTE SUS (APP);

• Proof/booklet/vaccination card digital or in printed letterhead, issued at the time of vaccination by the Municipal Secretary of Health of Rio de Janeiro, institutes of clinical research and other national or foreing public institutions.

1. Who must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19?

3. What documents will be accepted for domestic visitors?

The visitor must provide a photo identification document and proof of vaccination against COVID-19 corresponding to the 1st dose, 2nd dose, or single dose. The following documents will be accepted as valid:

– Digital vaccination certificate, available on the Unified Health System platform – CONECTE SUS (Application);

-. Vaccination certificate/booklet/card, which must be printed, on letterhead, or digitally issued at the time of vaccination by the Municipal Health Department of Rio de Janeiro, clinical research institutes, or other national or foreign government institutions.

4. What documents will be accepted for foreign visitors?

6. I only took the first dose, can I visit Bondinho Pão de Açúcar?If the date for your 2nd dose has not arrived yet, you can visit the Bondinho Pão de Açúcar, according to the vaccine proof calendar of the city of Rio de Janeiro.

If the date of your 2nd dose has already passed and you have not taken the 2nd dose of your vaccine, you will not be allowed to enter Bondinho Pão de Açúcar.

7. Can I show a screenshot or a picture of the vaccination card to be granted access?

No. Visitors must show immediate access to the CONECTE SUS Platform (App) at the entrance to the Bondinho Pão de Açúcar or bring in printed or digital format * (*accepted only for foreign visitors) their original proof of vaccination, issued at the time of vaccination by the Municipal Health Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro, clinical research institutes, or other national or foreign governmental institutions.

8. Can I provide a negative PC-R test for access to Bondinho Pão de Açúcar?

PC-R tests will not be accepted, even if the result is negative, for entry into Bondinho Pão de Açúcar.

9. Can I email a negative Covid-19 test in advance?

No. Proof of vaccination against Covid-19 along with a document with a photo must be provided upon entering Bondinho Pão de Açúcar, on the day of visitation.

10. What happens if the visitor does not want to provide the documents requested for access to Bondinho Pão de Açúcar?

If the visitor does not provide the documentation provided for in Decree No. 49,335, he or she will be prevented from entering Bondinho Pão de Açúcar, because he or she will be in disagreement with the regulation.

11. I’m not from Rio de Janeiro, how can I prove my vaccination?

Visitors from outside Rio or foreigners should bring in printed or digital format * (*accepted only for foreign visitors) their original proof of vaccination, issued at the time of vaccination by the Municipal Health Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro, clinical research institutes, or other national or foreign governmental institutions.

However, the date of the visitor’s vaccination must be in accordance with the calendar of proof of vaccination in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

How to access the vaccination card through the ConecteSUS app

12. How can I access the vaccination card through the ConecteSUS app?

The visitor must download the CONECTE SUS application, free of charge, on his or her cell phone and inform registration data for access. In the Ações rápidas menu, go to the Vacinas icon and you will have access to your vaccination history.

13. My vaccine doesn’t show up in the ConecteSUS app. What do I do?

To access Bondinho Pão de Açúcar, visitors can also provide, in printed format, their proof of original vaccination, issued at the time of vaccination by the Municipal Health Department of Rio de Janeiro, clinical research institutes, or other national or foreign government institutions.

In case of problems in the ConectSUS app, those vaccinated in the city of Rio de Janeiro should send a photo of the proof of vaccination, photo ID and CPF to: [email protected] with the doubt or correction request. Or see the health unit where they were vaccinated, taking the same documents.

14. My doctor gave me a statement that I cannot get the Covid-19 vaccine. Can I visit Bondinho Pão de Açúcar?

No. Bondinho Pão de Açúcar is following Decree No. 49,335 of the City Hall of Rio de Janeiro, of 08/26/2021. The decree makes it mandatory to provide a photo identity document and a proof of vaccination against Covid-19 for entry and stay at tourist attractions in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

15. I missed my vaccination date, can I visit Bondinho Pão de Açúcar?

To visit Bondinho Pão de Açúcar, you must regularize your vaccination.

16. How will the vaccination document be checked at entry?

Bondinho Pão de Açúcar service team will validate the documents of each visitor at entrance, before access to the park.

17. Will visitors’ vaccination data be stored?

No. Bondinho Pão de Açúcar will not store visitors’ vaccination data.

18. Can a visit be rescheduled depending on the visitor’s vaccination status?

Yes. Rescheduling the ticket for visitation will be possible until 12/31/2021. Bondinho’s service team will guide the visitor on-site.  At the visitor’s discretion, he or she can reschedule it by contacting [email protected]

If the visitor has purchased the ticket from partner sales channels, they should contact them to resolve the situation, according to the partner’s purchasing policy.

19. Can a ticket be canceled depending on the visitor’s vaccination status?

Yes. It will be possible to cancel the ticket. Bondinho’s service team will guide the visitor on-site. At the visitor’s discretion, he or she can cancel it by contacting [email protected]
